Intercultural Communication



This course is aimed at managers who work in the international market and need to improve their ability to communicate effectively in multicultural situations so as to avoid the tensions and misunderstandings caused by cultural misinterpretations.
The objective of the course is to enable participants to become aware of cultural differences, recognise different cultural practices and respond appropriately to the different conventions and communication styles of clients and colleagues from different cultural backgrounds.

Intercultural Management



This course is aimed at managers who work in the international market and need to improve their management skills in a multicultural context.
The course highlights the influences of culture on communication and management and applies the dimensions developed by Geert Hofstede to understand cultural differences in a business contest, in particular orientations to hierarchy, change and innovation, individualism and competition.
The objective of the course is to enable participants to identify and use different ways of motivating staff, adjusting to different leadership styles and creating a positive working atmosphere to reach one’s personal and organisation objectives.

  Multicultural Teambuilding



This course is aimed at people who work in international teams and need to improve their communication and teambuilding skills.
The course highlights group dynamics in the development of a multicultural team and the challenges of virtual communication when team members are scattered in different locations.
The objective of the course is to enable participants to identify appropriate strategies for effective communication in an international team, understand different decision making processes, different ways of presenting information and managing conflict.
Intercultural Communication in Health Services



This course is aimed at professionals who work in different fields of the Health Service and who, in the course of their work, need to interact in an effective and appropriate way with patients coming from different cultural backgrounds.
The course highlights the influence of culture on the attitudes of patients towards health (care) and disease and takes into account the way to handle conflict with multicultural patients, how to build up trust and cooperation with their relatives and how to work with language as an important part of the identity of multicultural patients.
